Girls residing in the Wayzata school district entering grades 4-12 (Fall 2025). 

Provide girls entering 3rd-12th grades with an opportunity to have FUN while playing flag football in a house league environment. Players will learn teamwork and basic football skills while developing a better appreciation for the game of football.

Games will be 24 minute running clock halves with a 2 minute halftime. No scores or W-L records will be officially kept as this league maintains the house/rec atmosphere.

2024 Practices & Games: Wednesdays

3/4 Grade NextGen: 6-7pm (arrive 5:45pm)

5/6th Grade: 7-8pm (arrive 6:30pm)

7/8th Grade: 8-9pm (arrive 7:30pm)

9-12th Grade: 8-9pm (arrive 7:30pm- times could move to 9-10pm for subsequent seasons depending on HS age player signups)

4th Grade NextGen Division

Players are assigned to teams by elementary school whenever possible. Roster sizes and coach availability are also considered during the team formation process. This age group will primarily focus on basic skills (physical and social) needed to learn the game of flag football in a safe, dynamic, and positive environment. Half of each Wednesday night will be dedicated to skill work/mini games, and half to 5v5 game play with some modified rules (age appropriate).

5/6th Grade | 7/8th Grade | 9-12th Grade Divisions

The goal is to form balanced teams regardless of school affiliation. We will accept one "play with" request if it is mutually matched by the requested player. However, due to roster size limitations and coach availability, we are not able to guarantee all requests will be honored.

WPYF Provides:

• Nike Jersey (ship to athlete by GearUp)
• Flag belt & Flags

Players Provide:

• Mouth guard (mandatory)
• Cleats or tennis shoes

We are a 100% volunteer organization that depends on parent coaches. Please consider coaching your player's team. All you need is a basic understanding of the game and a willingness to let the girls have fun in a safe and organized environment. Coaching materials will be provided.
